Prof. Slawomir Boncel is an expert in the synthesis and organic chemistry-inspired, application-oriented physicochemical modifications of carbon nanoallotropes: carbon nanotubes, graphene, and quantum dots, and their hybrid materials. Author of >100 JCR publications (Hirsch index = 25), 4 granted patents (3 PL, 1 WO), and 4 industrial implementations (Tortech Nano-Fibers Ltd., Grupa Azoty, Miranda Co. Ltd., Winiplast).

Research interests:

• nanocomposites/nanohybrids/(io)nanofluids with enhanced mechanical, thermal, electrical and/or magnetic properties,
• electroconductive coatings for textronics,
• superlubricants,
• magnetically targeted drug delivery systems,
• nano(bio)catalysts,
• materials for military/civil engineering, including stealth
